Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: What is your fee? A: My fee is $250. I provide a packet of several sample ceremonies, plus ways to involve children, the sand ceremony, rose ceremony, hand fasting, the inclusion of pets and more. From these, you can mix and match to customize your own ceremony. From the choices that you make, I put together your dream ceremony.
Q: When do you require payments? A: I like to receive a $50 non-refundable deposit as soon as possible. This is usually done at our first meeting, but can also be done by mail. The balance is due within two weeks of your wedding date. Usually couples like to bring it to our second meeting so that they know it’s taken care of. I hold this check until after your wedding date. Payment can be made by check, money order or cash. Sorry, I do not take credit cards. Q: Do you travel to do weddings? A: I only do weddings in the greater Colorado Springs area. This includes Woodland Park & Divide, Monument, Security & Fountain. Depending on the time of year, I may travel to Pueblo or Canon City or just east of Colorado Springs. There may be an additional charge for weddings in Pueblo or Canon City. Q: What is an interfaith minister? A: An interfaith minister honors and respects all spiritual paths. Rather than teaching a particular doctrine to a congregation, an interfaith minister serves by leading or officiating at ceremonies. These ceremonies are done according to your beliefs and desires. |
Q: Do you have a sample ceremony that I can view? A: Yes. You can see a sample here. Q: Does our ceremony need to be held in a church? A: No. It is held at the location of your choice. Q: What church do you attend or what is your religion? A: I am an interfaith minister ordained through the Colorado Interfaith Seminary (CIS). I do not have a particular religion or church that I attend. I am very spiritual and I believe that every path to God is the right path. Q: Do you do gay unions? A: Yes. Q: Can we include other ideas in our ceremony? A: Absolutely! Q: Do you do elopement ceremonies? A: Yes. My fee is $75 if you come to my home or $100 if I go to a location in Colorado Springs. For the same price as a Justice of the Peace you get a short ceremony that makes it feel like your wedding day rather than a trip to court. I have a sweet and simple ceremony for elopements. If you have this need, please call me directly at 719-591-0210. This ceremony and fee are for short-notice ceremonies only. What is today? Today is July 29, 2010, the first day of the rest of your life. |
